Credit Control & Debt recovery

Date: 16 April 2021

Time : 14:00 – 17:00

Ever since the recent economic crisis, many companies have been forced to focus almost exclusively on survival and the management of credit recoveries. Effective credit control management includes the litigation option, which may help to improve cash flow and business profitability in these times of uncertainty.

This workshop is designed to help companies understand the different debt recovery strategies which are commonly used, so that they can deploy such knowledge effectively in their credit recovery activities.

More importantly, the session will also impart closely-guarded knowledge on the court process and how professionals like lawyers perform their credit recovery services on behalf of their clients in the event that all other strategies have proven to be futile.

  • The different credit recovery techniques that are commonly used.

  • Practical tips on drafting letters of demand for different scenarios.

  • Practical tips on drafting settlement and/or instalment plan.

  • Overview of the litigation process in Singapore.

  • Evaluating the legal options available and step-by-step litigation guide for credit recovery.

  • Different methods of enforcement of judgement debts.

  • Planning and preparation for litigation and budgeting for legal costs.

  • Effectiveness of the litigation process.
